Merokok adalah aktifitas yang membahayakan kesehatan. Baik itu terhadap diri sendiri maupun orang lain. Orang yang menghisap rokok secara langsung biasanya disebut sebagai perokok aktif, sedangkan orang yang ikut menghirup asap rokok disekitar para perokok aktif disebut perokok pasif. Baik perokok aktif dan pasif ini akan merasakan dampak negatif dari asap rokok.
Seperti yang tertera di setiap bungkus rokok yang legal (berpita cukai), bahwa merokok dapat menyebabkan kanker, serangan jantung, impotensi dan gangguan kehamilan dan janin. Oleh karena itu, perokok yang masih punya rasa peduli terhadap kesehatan dirinya biasanya mempunyai keinginan untuk berhenti merokok. Berbagai cara ditempuh termasuk mencari tips cara berhenti merokok dari internet.
Berikut ini adalah beberapa tips cara menghentikan atau menghilangkan kebiasaan merokok yang berhasil saya rangkum hasil dari baca-baca di forum maupun blog-blog lain, semoga ampuh dan efektif.
Tips Cara Berhenti Merokok
1. Belilah merk rokok yang harganya murah dan kualitas pas-pasan.
Biasanya kalau orang yang sudah terbiasa merokok dengan rokok enak, dan suatu saat merokok dengan rokok yang tidak enak akan merasa gatal di tenggorokan dan seperti gak ada rasa di lidah, hambar. Diharapkan ini dapat mengurangi intensitas merokok. Selain itu, biasanya orang akan malu merokok di tempat umum jika rokoknya rokok murahan, jadi kalau mau merokok harus cari tempat yang sepi, beda jika rokoknya merk mahal. Dengan santainya, kebul-kebul di tempat umum.
2. Hentikan kebiasaan menunggu atau diam tanpa aktifitas.
Biasanya para perokok suka membunuh waktu luangnya dengan merokok. Begitu tak ada kegiatan, langsung deh buka tuh bungkus rokoknya. Nah, untuk itulah selalu isi waktu luang dengan kesibukan, misalnya jika berada di tempat umum jika kamu cowok, carilah tempat duduk di sebelah cewek yang cakep dan ajaklah dia mengobrol, dengan begitu kamu akan lupa dengan rokokmu hihihi. Begitu kehabisan bahan obrolan, coba buka handphone kamu dan mulailah aktifitas chatting atau sekedar browsing asal tidak membuka situs yang tidak-tidak hehe.
3. Biasakan merokok sambil minum, entah kopi atau es.
Jika sudah terbiasa merokok ditemani kopi atau es seperti saya, maka kalau tak ada minuman merokok pun malas.
4. Jika kebelet merokok tundalah beberapa menit sampai keinginan itu hilang.
Kalau masih ingin merokok, tariklah napas dalam-dalam melalui mulut, lalu keluarkan secara perlahan dengan menyempitkan bibir Anda. Ulangi 5-10 kali.
5. Cobalah membawa permen mint di saku kamu.
Kalau rasa ingin merokok muncul, cobalah emut permen yang ada di saku anda. Diharapkan, permen dapat mengurangi ketagihan kamu akan rokok.
6. Beritahu orang di seliling kamu kalau kamu berniat berhenti merokok.
Beritahu teman, keluarga dan lain lain kalau tekad kamu untuk berhenti merokok sudah bulat. Jadi, selain mereka yang masih merokok merasa malu merokok di depanmu juga akan mendapat support yang membuatmu merasa tidak sendirian sehingga muncul power yang luar biasa untuk mewujudkan keinginanmu itu.
7. Bergaullah dengan orang-orang yang telah berhasil berhenti merokok.
Diharapkan kamu akan bisa share tips-tips terampuh dari mereka untuk berhenti merokok.
8. Pindahkan semua barang-barang yang berhubungan dengan rokok.
Barang seperti asbak, korek api hanya akan mengingatkan kamu untuk merokok.
9. Jangan pedulikan provokasi orang lain.
Jika kamu termasuk perokok yang hanya buat gaya-gayan atau takut dibilang banci oleh temanmu. Yakinlah, bahwa kamu itu pria sejati. Bayangkan, jika karena merokok kemudian mereka terkena impotensi di usia muda sedang kamu yang tidak merokok sampai umur di atas 70 tahun masih greng. Siapa yang pria sejati coba?
10. Cobalah introspeksi diri.
Tanya dirimu sendiri, apa yang sudah kamu dapatkan dengan merokok. Kalau bisa kamu tulis satu persatu untung ruginya dari merokok tersebut.
11. Semuanya kembali pada dirimu sendiri.
Kalau tekad kamu sudah bulat, yakinlah pasti bisa. Kalau cuma setengah-setengah seperti aku, maka jika suatu saat nongkrong bareng kebiasaan itu pasti muncul lagi.
